Aerial-style perspective of Giza plateau with pyramids and desert

Gear & Focal Strategy

Subject Lens Tip
Full pyramid + foreground 16–24mm Use stones/tracks for leading lines
Sphinx with Khafre 24–70mm Compress perspective from elevated terrace
Detail textures 50–85mm Catch tool marks and weathering
Camel portraits 70–200mm Isolate subject with pyramid bokeh

Route for Angles (2–3h)

  1. Start near Khufu east side for scale + shadow lines.
  2. Move to Sphinx terrace for classic profile + pyramid alignment.
  3. Finish at panorama point for three-pyramid alignment at golden hour.

Crowd Navigation

  • Step aside from main tour knots; wait for rotation gaps.
  • Mind site rules and protective ropes; stay off fragile zones.

Bottom Line

Think in layers: foreground story (camel, stone), mid-ground (sand tracks), background (pyramids). Time your loop to end at a sweeping viewpoint.
